“It's the car, right? Chicks love the car” is one of the most famous Batman movie quotes in history, and there's a pretty good reason for that, considering how awesome most Batmobiles have been over the years.
Most diehard Batman fans probably find the 1989 "Keaton" Batmobile the best-looking one in the movie series. This would be a pretty good reason they might give up on anything to own a real-life replica.

But since these things don’t show up for sale too often, and when they do they usually cost a pretty penny, here are some blueprints to build one yourself, should you own the required equipment and materials, naturally.

ChicksLoveTheCars is a website dedicated to Batmobiles, coming with photos, info and blueprints for most of the models featured throughout Batman-themed movie history. Since the 1989 Keaton Batmobile is the arguably the coolest looking one, we’ll only post the schematics for that model. For the rest, you can always refer to the previously mentioned page.

In the original film, the Batmobile is powered by a jet turbine engine in ways no one knows exactly... thrust, driveshaft, you name it... but it’s clearly not going to happen in real life if you want to use your DIY Batmobile on the street.

Other than that, a second-hand jet engine will probably cost you a fortune and could be way too dangerous to use in your Batmobile project anyway, not to mention illegal in most states.

Instead, you could install a fake intake at the front and a homemade flamethrower at the back for the show, while the car could be easily built on an old Chevrolet Corvette chassis and get powered by its very own V8 engine.

Most Batmobile replicas found out there are actually based on Corvettes anyway, but you will probably need to find one that's cheap and decrepit enough to be worth molesting, and with no chassis rust.

Good luck with molding those intricate shapes out of fiberglass, though...
