Buick could expand its GS lineup before the Grand National and GNX nameplates will be reintroduced, Car & Driver reports quoting General Motors vice president of global design Ed Welburn.
While no additional details are given, the source says the Regal GS could be joined by similar variants of the Verano compact and the LaCrosse midsize sedans, fitted with upgrades wheels, brakes and suspension. The former will deliver 250 HP via a turbocharged four-potter, while the latter will be powered by 321 horses coming from a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6.

Speaking of the Grand National and GNX nameplates, both will be launched for the 2015 model year using the Alpha platform that underpins the Cadillac ATS. Little is known about the two, but word has it the Grand National will share engines with the ATS, while the GNX will get a twin-turbo V6 rated at about 400 horsepower.
