Bugeye Impreza WRX Gets Reviewed by Mr Regular

Like the freshly released Regular Car Reviews video points out, back in the day a WRX was… material for roughing the suspect/releasing the hostages. Because of the rally heritage, people used to line the road just to see one go by, that of course right after they worshiped a shrine of scale model and Japanese magazine covers. In mint condition, it's a nice car… but the only minty thing about this one is the grass stuck in the front bumper.
As a recovering Subaru WRX fan, this editor find Mister Regular's review therapeutic and fun, like a really funny commercial you forget after a few days. It doesn't say if the car is good or bad, but it does explain a little something about the sort of guy who would buy one of these second hand and love it.

Old bugeyes here is one of the late-model version of the car they built from 2001. Without the gold wheels and the rally blue paint, it's hard to even notice it if the aftermarket exhaust isn't burbling away. Indeed, even we have noticed that most WRX drivers are either frat guys or IT geeks, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Just like the first-gen model, the Mk2 WRX and STI were available in a number of different configurations. Subaru issued frequent updates to keep up in the fight against the Evo.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
