Over the years, many have tried to imagine what car Darth Vader would drive, should he ever consider a vehicle such as the ones we use. Nevertheless, we might have just come across the perfect machine for the Star Wars anti-hero.
Think about it - to start with, Darth Vader would have to go for the fastest and most aggressive machine available, and this would obviously have to come from a well-known source. Which leads us to Bugatti.
We’re not quite sure Darth Vader would aim for a French-badged vehicle, but given the fact that Molsheim (Bugatti’s home town) used to be in Germany before World War I, he might just make this compromise.
Since Bugatti’s latest effort is the Vision Grand Turismo, this has to be the way. And while we at it, let’s turn the already bonkers styling of the machine into a four-wheeled incarnation of Darth Vader’s helmet, shall we?
In fact, this effort comes from digital artist Khyzyl Saleem, who noticed the similarities between the two entities and decided to bring everything under the same carbon fiber roof.
We’ve talked about the pixel master’s renderings on multiple occasions, but this has to be one of his coolest works to date.
“The expressive design of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is marked by large convex surfaces, which contrast with concave transitions and strong lines. That lends the exterior styling precision and surface tensions of the highest quality. The proportions of the vehicle are uncompromisingly athletic and designed for maximum performance,” this is what Bugatti had to say about the Vision Grand Turismo when the machine was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Does it fit our character’s personality? We’d have to ask him to find out. Until we get to do that, we’ll remind you the contraption that bowed in Frankfurt is a fully-functional machine using the W16 Force.
