Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Replica Being Built in Mexico

We recently showed you two Bugatti Veyron test mules running around the Nurburgring, with the hypercar test vehicles showing nice exposed, work-in-progress body elements. Well, it seems that one Mexican fan has a Veyron Frankenstein of his own in the build process.

The adjacent image shows a Veyron replica that’s currently being built in Mexico. The project is in a pretty advanced stage of development and, according to the local media, we are dealing with a steel body here. The targeted model here is the Veyron Super Sport.

The man behind the build, Sergio Fabian Reyes, is determined to come with a final form that stays as close to the original as possible. While the idea of a Veyron replica is wrong on so many levels, we have to admit that the man has done a pretty clean job so far.

However, despite the close replication of the various elements, there are still plenty of clues that give the car away - the wheels are an example as good as any.

We’re also very curious to see how certain details will look on the finished replica. Let’s take the radiator grille, for instance. The Veyron’s grille is a masterpiece and it’s hard to believe anybody could even come close to offering something similar.

Once again... yuck.
