When you use porcelain elements to create a one-of-a-kind hypercar that is worth over two million dollars, then it has to be for the art factor. It’s the material sculptors use in their rare creations; it’s something that should travel through time, stand as a symbol. The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport l’Or Blanc is a unique mind-bending piece of automotive greatness, and recreating it into a scale model is not something you play with.
Apparently, folks over at Amalgam Fine Model Cars are not actually playing around with this sort of stuff. If we were their word, they create “the very highest quality model cars and yachts, for designers, manufacturers and high-end collectors worldwide.” And it’s not just a way they sell their products, mind you.

In fact, they also supply the majority of Formula 1 teams with large-scale models and replica steering wheels for presentation to VIPs and for the use of sponsors and team partners. These people are serious.

And the craftsman catching the last retouch in the picture above sure seems serious as he takes a last look at his creation, a 1:8 scale model of unique beauty. Other than the lack of a 1,001-horsepower mill under the bonnet, this genuine work of art apparently keeps all the details as accurate as possible, according to the actual hypercar.

That means we’re looking at a surface made of a mix of aluminum and carbon fiber, painted using the same patterns and techniques employed by the artisans at German porcelain designer Konigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur in Berlin. The special edition has been precisely replicated with full interior and exterior detailing, and it’s priced at £5,300 ($8,341). A spicy price, of course, but just look at how beautiful this scale model is!

P.S.: In case you wanted to see the actual car in action, we also listed a short video with it taken last year.
