Bugatti Veyron Crashed During Test Drive

One of the dark sides of the automotive world, that offers an unpleasant sensation to both “civilians" and car enthusiasts, is the field of supercar accidents.

Every now and then, the Internet allows us to see various high-performance vehicles being damaged or destroyed in more or less stupid accidents. Of course, if we’re talking about the Bugatti Veyron, things become even more delicate, as nobody would like to see this automotive masterpiece threatened.

However, Veyron crashes do happen and we are here to report it to you. The latest accident involving the pride and joy of the Volkswagen Group took place during a customer test-drive.

Fortunately, we are only talking about a minor damage to the hypercar’s rear fascia. But let’s see how it all happened. The vehicle was parked on the sidewalk, with the customer behind the wheel. The driver had a little chat with a person expected to be the salesman and then decided that it's time to start the test drive.

All said and done. He put the vehicle into “reverse” and slowly started backing up. However, it seems that he wasn’t paying enough attention, as he crashed into a vehicle that had stopped at a red light. Various media sources indicate that the damage caused by the customer is worth $30,000.

You can see the $1.6 million hypercar becoming the victim of a human error in the video bellow.

We’ll remind you that almost a year ago, a driver crashed a Veyron into a salt water (ouch! - it still hurts) lagoon in Texas.
