Bugatti Sells 400th Veyron, Only 50 Left Until Production Ends

Bugatti has sold its 400th Veyron supercar, the Molsheim-based manufacturer announced earlier this, adding that only 50 examples of the lightning-fast vehicle will be built before production will officially end.

The 400th Bugatti Veyron is a Grand Sport Vitesse "Jean-Pierre Wimille", a limited edition model from the six-part series "Les Legendes de Bugatti". The last of the only three "Jean-Pierre Wimille" Veyrons has been bought by a costumer in the Middle East, Bugatti revealed.

Priced at 2.13 million, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Legend "Jean-Pierre Wimille" is powered by the company's familiar quad-turbo W16 engine that delivers 1,200 bhp and 1,106 lb-ft of torque for a top speed of 253 mph (408 km/h) and a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint of 2.6 seconds.

All the 50 Bugatti Veyrons that are stil available for purchase are roadsters. The French company has built 300 coupes and 150 roadsters since the Veyron was introduced back in 2005.
