Bugatti’s American arm has appointed Maurizio Parlato as its new Chief Operating Officer, with the manager having already taking up his new position of February 15.
Parlato seems to know his way around prestigious brands, with his background including the leading roles in the US operations of Lotus, as well as those of Ferrari and Maserati. He served as Lotus Cars USA CEO prior to being President and CEO of Ferrari North America.

The US and Canada account for 25 percent of the global Bugatti sales, so the executive has quite some business to handle. Just think about the fact that the Veyron is approaching the end of its life cycle, so Parlato will have to handle its successor.

Parlato’s role as a COO sees him handling the sales and marketing activities for North and South America, as well as taking Bugatti’s 13-dealer network (the Americas) further.

"I am thrilled to join Bugatti, which for me represents the pinnacle of luxury automobiles: the perfect synthesis of exquisite elegance, state of the art technology, innovation and ultimate performance combined with a unique history and tradition," Maurizio Parlato said.

The executive replaces John Hill, which leaves Bugatti after a six-year period.
