Bugatti Opens Official Showroom in Beijing

Even if some people might think that Bugatti isn't exactly a car model to be purchased during economic recession times, it appears the French manufacturer's sales are growing. The first sign that supports this statement is the opening of Bugatti's first showroom outside France. The luxury automobile manufacturer recently opened the doors of a showroom in Jinbao street of Beijing.

Obviously, this is a move supposed to help Bugatti take advantage of the growing demand in China, a market that return high sales volumes even during the economic regression.

"The opening of the show room, the first one in the world, shows Bugatti's confidence in China's luxury car market," said Mr Kuo-chung, President of Bugatti China, according to gasgoo.com.

Bugatti aims to sell no less than - hold your breath! - two units in its first year in China, but more units are likely to be delivered in the first year. Is this possible? Kuo-chung thinks it is and points to the annual Hurun Report which reveals that China has more billionaires that the United States.

This is the only showroom to be opened in China at this point but more are to come in case things are evolving according to the plan, officials of the company are hinting. Furthermore, Bugatti might look to make similar expansion plans in worldwide countries but further details are yet to be disclosed.

Bugatti revealed in September the company's latest contraption, the so-called Galibier 16C concept which, according to some voices close to the matter, recently received the go-ahead to enter production. If we are to trust the rumors, the new Bugatti might be released sometimes in 2010.
