Just like Pagani and their Zonda, Bugatti can’t have enough Veyrons. In fact, Pagani announced that the Zonda Revolucion will be the last vehicle from the series. But Bugatti is far from quitting and revealed yet another limited edition Veyron... with five more to follow.
Even though the present day company has little to do with Bugatti’s glorious past, Molsheim decided to celebrate the manufacturers heroes with the “Les Legendes de Bugatti” series, which will led to the release of six special edition supercars based on the Veyron. The first in line is dubbed Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Legend Jean-Pierre Wimille and celebrates the famous French driver that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice, in 1937 and 1939, behind the wheel of a Bugatti 57G Tank.
Based on the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, officially the world’s fastest convertible, the Legend Jean-Pierre Wimille special edition sports a blue clear-coated carbon fiber and a light Wimille Bleu exterior paint job, with the color scheme continued in the cabin as well.
Bugatti announced the new iteration will be built in only three examples, but has yet to reveal the supercar’s price. Also, the other five key figures from the Bugatti history to be featured by the “Legend” edition haven’t been announced.
