Bugatti Grand Sport Created by Frech Designer Bernar Venet

This is the latest special edition Bugatti Veyron based on the Grand Sport. It’s called the “Venet” and it recently made its official debut at the Art Basel Miami Beach. The car borrows its name from its creator, French artist Bernar Venet.
The car is made special by its one-off paintjob, which combines dark chocolate brown and rusty brown in a jumbled mess of numbers and mathematical symbols. The same colors are reproduced in a lighter tone inside the car.

“A Bugatti is already a work of art in itself, one that transports both its beholder and its driver into new dimensions of reality. I realized how I could translate my passion for mathematical equations and scientific treatises into three-dimensional form. My works are usually self-referential. So I found the idea of translating the equations of the Bugatti engineers onto the bodywork of the car very appealing. It was, so to speak, a logical conclusion and a new challenge in terms of the specific form of collaboration and implementation. To me, the result is also exceptional when measured by artistic standards and bestows the object with a mythical character,” says the car’s designer, Bernar Venet.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
