Yes, the Stormtrooper-spec Bugatti Chiron we have here is a rendering. And why would anybody go through the trouble of creating such a pixel machine, you ask? For one, this digital painting showcases the Pur Sport, the latest Chiron incarnation that landed earlier this year, so customers need this kind of eye candy. Allow me to elaborate.
The Molsheim automotive producer will only bring 60 examples of the Pur Sport to life, with each being offered for a price of €3.0 million each (that would be $3.26 million at current exchange rates). Even so, the stratospheric end of the market means the configuration of the vehicle is of uttermost importance. And this is where exploratory specs like the one we have here come into play.

While this rendering may or may not be an effort aimed directly at the target mentioned above, we've discussed such Bugatti creations before. This stunning virtual build comes from an artist named Shashank Das, but, for instance, a different digital label published multiple such specs that had been requested by clients, albeit with these revolving around the Bugatti Divo

Heck, even if we look past the Star Wars theme (and the actual Stormtrooper portrayed behind the wheel), this Black and White theme is a sight for sore eyes. Speaking of which, the posterior of the 1,600 horsepower toy, with its wing and diffuser, can be considered a nod to the Star Wars X-Wing.

Keep in mind that the Pur Sport is aimed at improving handling, juggling assets such as downforce-generating wheels, an 110 lbs (50 kg) diet, stiffer springs, custom Michelin tires and gear ratios that are 15 percent shorter.

For the record, deliveries of the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport will kick off in the second half of the year.

Update (May The 4th):Bugatti has just placed its (digital) seal of approval on this rendering, as you'll see in the final Instagram post below.
