There's a rumor flying around hypercar circles, with this stating that Bugatti is preparing a Chiron-based one-off for the Geneva Motor Show in March.
The news came from supercar collector Kris Singh, who took to Instagram to spill the beans while talking about the introduction of the Geneva-bound Bugatti Chiron 100 Ans last Friday.

It seems that the expected one-off would come with a price of $18 million. Oh, and before you check your account balance, you should know the machine is said to have been created for Dr. Ferdinand Piëch, grandson of Ferdinand Porsche and former chairman of the Volkswagen Group.

In fact, here's what the said collector said on Instagram: "The Chiron is a stunning machine and it will be fun to see this [the 110 Ans edition] alongside the Divo and the top secret 16 million euro Bugatti one-off that was made exclusively for Dr Piech that will be unveiled at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show exactly one month from today!"

Oh, and keep in mind that the aficioando's account is private, which is why we couldn't include his post.

Well, until we get to find out if the VW Group's crown jewel brand has come up with the most expensive new car ever offered, the Internet has something to say and it comes in the form of a rendering portraying the potential one-off.

We're talking about a proposal envisioning an aero-modified example of the 1,500 horsepower monster, with theLongtail form of the hypercar speaking for itself.

And since Molsheim's rich history includes multiple models with an elongated posterior, such a one-off could make sense.

Then again, there are also other custom elements that have been included in this pixel play, which comes from digital artist E. Milano. And, for the sake of comparison, we've added the original photo below the render.
