When you happen to find yourself behind the wheel of a Bugatti Chiron, showing up at a drag racing event has obvious consequences. From sleepers and supercars to tuner monster drivers, everybody will want to battle you.
Well, we've brought along a sample of such a drag race, one that sees the Chiron duking it out with a Mercedes-AMG CLS63.

Sure, the CLS63 wouldn't stand a chance against the Bug in factory form. However, this Molsheim machine is far from its stock. To be more precise, this four-door coupe now delivers north of 900 horsepower.

Much to nobody's surprise, the Bugatti Chiron hasn't been touched by the aftermarket wand. As such, the quad-turbo W16 motor allows the driver to play with the... usual 1,500 hp.

Note that the two velocity tools crossed paths during a velocity gathering held on the Black Forest Airport in Lahr, Germany, which meant they had all the space they needed to make full use of their abilities.

The said event set out to help certain machines get past the standing start issues, which is why the hostilities kicked off at 50 km/h (make that 31 mph). And the battle went on for a full kilometer.

Now, the YouTuber who caught the whole stunt on camera lets us know that the maximum velocity of the CLS63 sat at 289.5 km/h (180 mph), but we don't know how fast the Chiron was.

As for the aural side of the battle, the 8.0-liter hypercar was easily eclipsed by the German V8 monster. With the help of a complete custom exhaust, which was supplied by Brabus, the Affalterbach machine screamed like few other.

Speaking of other velocity missiles, the said drag race awaits you at the 8:31 point of the clip, but the rest of the video is also worthy of your attention. And that's because there were plenty of other spicy battles that took place during the German event.
