Those of you who have seen Ford v Ferrari, know how the motion picture "adapts" historical facts to fit the spectacular plot, so why not take the whole thing a step further and imagine a reality where the deal that was supposed to see the Blue Oval acquiring the Prancing Horse would've gone through. For one, this could've seen the volume carmaker borrowing the velocity specialist's expertise for its famous go-fast specials.
Now, the process mentioned above would've required delicate steps that could ensure perfect integration, but we are here to showcase a virtual contraption that's anything but subtle. We're looking at a mashup involving the Ferrari F40 and the Ford Mustang Fox Body.

This rendering is served by digital artist Abimelec Arellano, who decided to throw the Maranello halo car and the 'Stang together. The result looks a bit like something that could be built using a Fox Body as a donor car, which might just frighten purists.

The main ingredients of the transformation involve the chopped roof, the wheels and, of course, the Rosso Corsa finish of the machine. Another part of the project that comes from Ford involves the Thunderbird Super Coupe headlights.

However, there are more profound changes to talk about: the generous engine compartment up front must be a luggage area now, since the middle section of the car accommodates a Ford Voodoo motor. And, in the spirit of the F40, the 5.2-liter flat-plane crank V8 works with a pair of turbos.

The pixel master decided the project can't be completed without proper badging, so he "adapted" the Ferrari shield logo on the side of the vehicle. Now, as we know from the time when the Italian carmaker sent Deadmau5 a cease and desist letter that convinced the producer/DJ to remove the "Purrari" customization on his 458, the company specifically complained about the customized Ferrari badges. So don't expect the Italians to have a giggle about this.

A couple weeks back, my buddy @777style came up with the incredible idea of marrying a Ford Mustang Foxbody with a Ferrari F40 and I was absolutely on board right away; Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to the F40xbody! Both cars are similar sizes, however the proportions are really different and that was the main challenge while making this: How to make the, in comparison to the F40, stubby looking Foxbody match the sleek lines of the F40? well, you chop it in a million pieces that is! After substantially lowering the roof line and adding wider fenders mimicking the F40 panels, the wheels, wing and Rosso Corsa paint just tied up everything beautifully. Powering this is a mid-mounted flat plane Vodoo engine breathing through two turbochargers. Another mod I love are the Ford Thunderbird headlights, Ron’s idea, and a detail lifted directly from the Saleen RRR from ‘93 which gives the front end a much needed sleeker profile. Cherry on top is the Ferrari shield with a bit of a tweak # What do you think about this Frankenstein? Would you drive it? Happy Wednesday! Hope you’re having a great week! . . . . . . . . #ford #mustang #foxbody #ferrari #v8 #vodoo #twin #turbo #frankenstein #mashup #rosso #corsa #f40 #legend #supercar #radwood #supercar #3d #render
