It takes about one hour and a half to reach the Silverstone Gran Prix Circuit if you were to get there from Woking, Surrey. However, we’re sure it took them less than that to hit the track considering we are looking at the second best road legal model McLaren currently has on the market.
Nevertheless, this is the way Ayrton Senna’s nephew took recently considering he spent a couple of days of track fun. As the son of the legendary F1 driver’s older sister, Bruno has never forgotten his roots. You may very well know that the color scheme of his helmet is a slightly modified version of that used by his uncle. Whether or not he took it this time, it’s hard to tell considering it doesn’t seem there was something official.

Aside from the Formula One events, Silverstone also hosts many club racing series, not to mention the world’s largest historic race meeting, the Silverstone Classic. However, we haven’t heard of anything going on there lately. In fact, last time the track was vividly taking over the motorsport media outlets, everybody would discuss Lewis Hamilton’s win, averaging a 200.868 mph.

Yes, yes, but what was Bruno doing at the track driving the McLaren 675LT? Could it be related to a new contract? As we all know, the Brazilian pro racing driver is currently running for Aston Martin in the FIA World Endurance Championships and Mahindra Racing in the Formula E.

The Long Tail McLaren is currently placed somewhere between its predecessors, the 650S and, of course, the almighty P1. Inspired by the 1997 F1 GTR it’s here to “create a visceral driving experience of unique intensity” offering more power, less weight and more precision. The British supercar maker is making only 500 issues, which means that driving one even if it’s for a couple of rounds, undoubtedly has to be a blast.

E hoje essa é a McLaren 675LT! Melhor carro de rua que eu já pilotei! Dois dias muito especiais! And today this is the @mclarenauto #675LT Best road car I've ever driven! 2 very special days at #Silverstone @mclaren_gt
