When you’re rich and famous by basically living you life on camera, even the embarrassing moments will probably get online. Reality television star Brody Jenner definitely thought about this, anyway, when he filmed his own father, retired athlete Bruce Jenner, getting pulled over by the cops because of a little “I love racing” moment. And of course he uploaded it on his Instagram.
The little incident happened last night, and Brody Jenner was driving right next to his father when it would seem “dad tried to show off,” as the star quoted. According to TMZ, Bruce was driving on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu when he started having a bit of fun, squealing his tires, and cops noticed. He was pulled over, but considering he only commited the crime of ”Exhibition of Speed,” they gave him a warning and let him go.
Besides the fact it’s kind of strange to embarrass your own father, which is what Brody did posting the clip online, we’re wondering if the retired athlete was having a race-nostalgic moment. In case you didn’t know, Bruce was a successful race car driver in the IMSA Camel GT series (International Motor Sports Association) in the 1980s.
His first victory came in the 1986 12 hours of Sebring in the IMSA GTO class driving the 7-Eleven Roush Racing For Mustang with co-driver Scott Pruett, not only winning their class but finishing 4th overall in the 12 hour endurance race. His most successful year was also 1986 finishing second in the championship to Pruett.
