The same day his divorce to Kris Kardashian was filed he buys a $50,000 race car specially made for US racing legend Robby Gordon. That’s pretty much the story behind Bruce Jenner’s acquisition. It would seem the retired olympic athlete couldn’t stay far from getting one of the beasts he saw at this weekend’s Stadium Super Trucks race in California.
The 64-year old celebrity was visiting the exhibition along with his son, Burt, who recently uploaded a snap of the orange and black all-terrain vehicle, quoting: “So my dad lasted all of about 30 miuntes at the race this weekend before he went and bought Robby Gordon’s UTV. Can’t lie the thing is sick and clean... That’s right folks, dad’s gonna come race.”
Bruce bought the car on the same day his divorce with reality television celebrity and manager Kris Jenner was filled. Citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split, the couple originally announced their separation last year. However, neither Kris nor Bruce want to pay each other spousal support, while the legal documents state the fame-hungry matriarch wants to keep all jewelry and assets from before the separation, and they’ll divide everything else later.
As to his passion for racing, it goes way back. Bruce was a successful race car driver in the IMSA Camel GT series (International Motor Sports Association) in the 1980s. His first victory came in the 1986 12 hours of Sebring in the IMSA GTO class driving the 7-Eleven Roush Racing Ford Mustang with co-driver Scott Pruett. Not only they won their class, but they also finished 4th overall in the 12 hour endurance race. His most successful year was also 1986 finishing second in the championship to Purett.
And now that he’s about to be single again, it's kind of natural he buys a race monster and goes back on the track.
