If it's Tuesday, and you guys probably need all the humor you can get to keep you going through to Friday. We have just the thing!
Fast, Furious & Funny pulls off one type of prank we've never seen before, the fake taxi sign.
The idea is simple. You take one fake taxi sign with magnets and place it on top of the car belonging to your local grandma or grumpy old man.
Normal motorists are bewildered to discover that their cars now have taxi signs on top, and there's a guy asking for a ride to the airport. Some feel sorry for him while others are simply angry with the situation. One fellow is tempted into turning his car into a makeshift taxi when offered £300.
This guy who calls himself Callux clearly has the right stones to pull off the pranks like he does. He's totally cool and collected and even convinces a few people to take him to Heathrow airport.
Ever wondered what the word "taxicab" means? So did we. Apparently, it was first used Harry Nathaniel Allen who imported the first 600 gas-powered New York City taxis from France in 1907. The word is an abbreviation of "taximeter cabriolet" where tax means to charge, meter to measure and the cabriolet is a French word for the horse-drawn carriage.
And get this: the cabriolet has nothing to do with having no roof. Instead, it's derived from the Italian word "capriolare", which means to jump. This in turn is derived from the Latin "capreolus", which means wild goat. So basically, convertibles are actually goats?
Nowadays, London's trademark black cabs are made by the Chinese. More and more companies are turning to electric and hybrid vehicles like the Prius and Leaf, but it all depends on where you live.
