Instead of going on honeymoon after their wedding, a UK couple will have to support the repair bills for their crashed Ferrari 458 Italia. Why is it crashed? Well, the husband let his new wife drive the Italian supercar, soon after their wedding, and it did not go well at all.
She drove the car straight into one of the walls of the hotel they were staying in, and judging by the picture from wreckedexotics.com, the car is all-but totaled. The incident took place in the UK, in Hampshire, yet aside from that we don`t have any more details on the matter.
Still, as we discussed at length in our recent test drive of the topless version of the 458, the car is actually not that hard to drive at regular speeds, and it can be driven quite quickly even by inexperienced drivers, as its sophisticated electronic stability and control systems do most of the work for you.
We don`t really think the groom allowed his bride to put the car into Race mode, or deactivate the systems completely, so it was most likely a sheer lack of skill at driving, and not necessarily a ‘Ferrari thing’.
