If you’re into philately and fancy classic British classic cars, than this news might come in handy. The Royal Mail is celebrating six iconic British cars through its newly-released “British Auto Legends Thoroughbreds Stamp Set”.
Designed by Why Not Associates with the help of automotive photographer Andrew Mann and launched on the occasion of Aston Martin’s centenary and 150th birthday of Sir Henry Royce, the stamp collection includes the 1961 Jaguar E-Type, 1962 MG MGB, 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, 1968 Morgan Plus 8, 1963 Aston Martin DB5, and the 1976 Lotus Esprit.
A great selection of vehicles if you ask us, even though would have also included the Mini, Lotus (Caterham) Seven and one of the many famous Daimler limousines. But hey, these stamps have the Queen’s approval, so we’re in no position to judge.
If you’re looking to add this set to your collection (we bet none of you are looking to use them for shipping purposes), the stamps can be acquired at any post office across the United Kingdom or at Royal Mail’s online shop.
