Briatore Fires Queens Park Rangers Coach

Flavio Briatore may have been exonerated by the Paris Tribunal de Grande Instance for his involvement in the crash-gate, but that doesn't mean the Italian manager is going soft on his employees. As you all know by now, the 59-year old is also co-owner of London Championship division club Queens Park Rangers, where managers tend to stay for a very short period of time.

According to British newspaper The Guardian, Briatore just fired the manager/coach of his team Paul Hart after only 5 games in command. Hart has been brought to Loftus Road on December 17, replacing former manager Jim Magilton, who was also sacked by the Italian co-owner. The reason for Magilton's firing was however related to a dressing-room incident, not necessarily due to poor results in the Championship.

As for Hart, his time on the bench at QPR saw only one win and two draws for the London-based club in the last 5 games. The latest result was obviously a poor one, as Queens Park lost at home to Sheffield United in the 4th round of the FA Cup.

Apparently, Briatore puts great emphasis on his players' demands lately, as the report from The Guardian also suggested that Hart's firing has to do with a poor relation with the QPR locker-room. What's worth mentioning is that Hart has become the 6th coach to be fired from that position under the ruling of Flavio Briatore (which started in late 2007). As most of you might have guessed by now, frequent coach changing is not something representative for the English football (at least as compared to other championships in Europe).

Recently, Briatore has been linked with a presidential role within the Juventus Turin football club in the Serie A. His is known to be a good friend of the Agnelli family, the ones who control both FIAT and the aforementioned football club. However, the report was issued by a gossip website in Italy, so only a few media have piggybacked on the story so far.
