Brian Bosworth Involved in DUI Scandal

If you're a celeb that lacks media attention, one way of coming into the limelight would be to get drunk, then get behind the wheel and consequently, be arrested by cops.

We don't know whether this was the reason why Brian Bosworth, age 43, was driving under the influence on March 6 but the result was disastrous. According to TMZ, the former football star was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a .08 or above blood alcohol level.

Bosworth was driving his Harley Davidson along Hollywood Boulevard on Friday when cops pulled him over for not having a license plate on his bike but smelled alcohol in his breath. He failed the breath test and therefore, he was arrested on suspicion of driving  under the influence. Despite the embarrassing situation, cops said that the former footballer turned actor was cooperative. He was being held on $5,000 bail.

His trial was established for April 3. If convicted, he risks up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Brian Bosworth also known as The Boz was a linebacker for the University of Oklahoma and the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League.

Bosworth's acting career debuted with his role in "Stone Cold" in 1991 but his performance didn't help him acquire the status of a Hollywood star. Since then he has continued to appear in other films, including playing a prison guard in the 2005 Adam Sandler movie "The Longest Yard."

Even less flattering than failing in his acting career, The Boz was named the 6th worst flop on the Biggest Flops of the Last 25 Years list by ESPN in July 2004 and number three on NFL Network's NFL Top 10 Draft Busts. Equally, this DUI incident is not meant to improve his public image either...
