Breitling Released Raven Special Edition

A few months ago we were telling you about the Bentley Motors Speed watch designed by the popular watchmaker Breitling in addition to the Breitling for Bentley Serie Motors. This time, Breitling comes with a special series of its Airwolf and Skyracer chronographs, code-named ‘Raven’.

The two resulting timepieces feature black rubber molded pushpieces and bezel, while also having an eye-catching high-tech black and steel look. The design clearly shows the aviation-based style of the watches, mostly with the rack-and-pinion mounted slide rule. The bracelets come in four different straps: two in Diver Pro and two in Ocean Racer, all available for both watches.

The Airwolf, based on exclusive SuperQuartz movement, has what every professional pilot needs: 1/100th of a second chronograph, alarm, countdown, 2nd timezone, and a battery end-of-life indicator.

Designers used an NVG-compatible display backlighting system enabling night-time read-off, while a turbine-shaped construction on the caseback serves as a resonance chamber for the alarm and other audible indications.

With the Skyracer model, Breitling wanted to bring the most efficient self-winding chronograph in its category. Therefore, the watch was equipped with Caliber 27, an exclusive mechanism enabling dual visualization of measured times.

The watch also features a 60-minute counter with central hand for any measurement under one hour, while for longer durations, a single two-hand counter shows both the hours and minutes. Elapsed time is read off just as one would read off the time, instantly and without any possible confusion, Breitling informs.

The Raven Special Edition was not left without the jewelry Breitling got us used to, as both Airwolf and Skyracer have received 38 jewels each. And don’t worry, just as expected, the sapphire crystal has been glareproofed on both sides. Unfortunately, no pricing has been announced yet.
