BrawnGP to Introduce Improved Car at Nurburgring

After the relaxed Red Bull win at Silverstone, BrawnGP team promised to introduced revised parts and improved bits for the German Grand Prix on July 12. Feeling the Red Bull team breath on their neck, the current Constructor's Championship leader is preparing to introduce major improvements to the car along with some newly tested pieces.

The Brackley based team admitted having ready some of their new bits in time for the Silverstone Grand Prix, but were unable to make good use of them due to unforseen problems in getting the tires to the appropriate temperature.

“With the confusion over the tires, we didn't run some new pieces we had because Friday (at Silverstone) was very difficult with the tire temperature," Brawn was quoted as saying by the Telegraph.

“We couldn't determine how the new bits were working, so we decided to avoid confusion and went back to what we had in Turkey.”

"So we've got those bits and we have some new improvements for the Nurburgring," Ross Brawn continued.

How the new and revised pieces will perform remains to be seen, but at this point in the championship one thing is clear: the battle between BrawnGP and Red Bull is very close and as we have learned from the past, the difference will be made by the correct setup of the car according to each track's demands, not just newly introduced parts on their own.
