Brawn GP Secured Financial Deal with Henri Lloyd

Brawn GP have finally made the first step towards financial stability after signing new official partner for the 2009 Formula 1 season, British clothing manufacturer Henri Lloyd. After weeks of trying to secure a financial partnership ahead of the new season, Ross Brawn officially announced Henri Lloyd as new team supplier for the upcoming season.

“We are delighted to welcome Henri Lloyd to Formula One and to the Brawn GP team,” announced Brawn yesterday. The Englishman did not mention the duration of the aforementioned deal between the two companies. What's certain is that the Henri Lloyd logo will make for the majority of BGP 001's livery throughout 2009.

“We are particularly proud to begin our association with a company which prides itself on innovation and design and we will be working hard with Henri Lloyd to produce clothing which provides the highest levels of fabric technology for our demanding working environment.”

"The Brawn GP team has faced a race against time to complete our preparations for the first race of the season in Melbourne and we would like to thank Henri Lloyd for sharing our vision for the future of the team and their commitment in ensuring that the team's identity will be so well reflected in our team clothing and merchandise this year,” added Brawn.

The new deal comes at a very good time for the Brackley-based team, especially since the outfit has been granted with the “new entry” status by the FIA earlier this week. That means the team will not benefit from the financial entitlements of the former Honda Racing F1 for 2009, therefore they will receive the revenues for this season later on (as stated in the FOM financial regulations regarding the new entries).
