Brawn Expects Schumacher to Win

As Michael Schumacher agreed to make his comeback into the sport of Formula One at Valencia, the fans will get to see the German driver compete for the first time in career against his long-time partner Ross Brawn.

Except for his very first Formula One race back in 1991 – when debuting for Jordan Ford – Schumacher has spent every of his 249 starts in the Great Circle under the close guidance of the 54-year old Brit. Now that Brawn has become team owner in F1, the two will race against each other for the remainder of the 2009 season.

Nevertheless, the Brit seems as excited as everybody in the Formula One paddock to see Schumacher race again. Not only that, but he also sees it as highly unlikely for Schu not to win a race until the season finale at Abu Dhabi. And if he will, however, fail to get to the chequered flag in 1st place at least once in the remaining 7 rounds of 2009, it most certainly be Ferrari's fault and not his, argued Brawn.

In my opinion there is also another aspect to consider: the fact that this is for a limited time. I mean, Michael returns with his usual determination and seriousness, but above all with the intention of having fun. Personally, I admit I'm excited and can't wait to see him at work,” Brawn was quoted as saying by the Gazzetta dello Sport.

Of course it's obvious that he has to familiarize himself with the car, but I'm sure that if he doesn't win one of the remaining races of the season it will not be his fault, but because Ferrari is not in a winning position,” added the Brit.
