Since Winter seems to be leaving us alone, most manufacturers took to the Nurburgring with a vengeance. BMW is testing every possible future model, including one, highly-expected completely new model, the M235i.
Our latest spyshots show us the new car, which is supposed to replace some of the 1 Series models, in full rage, around the famous German circuit. The one in the photos, isn't just any 2er, by the way.

This one is the high performance version, M235i. According to recent rumors, the engine under the bonnet of the car we're looking at here is derived out of the same 3-liter turbocharged N55 unit, with roughly the same 340 HP.

The new photos show us the car in the classic, powerful Valencia Orange, the color used on the 1M Coupe. Furthermore, the parts of the car not covered by camouflage, show a beautiful moon roof. Also, the rear diffuser seems completely new too, with some interesting, more squared off character lines, quite different from what we're used to seeing on the current M135i.

Another new, interesting detail surrounds the taillights. They seem to have grown into a completely different design and the sides now have something that looks like a character line meant to disperse the air.

We also have to talk about the elephant in the room. The new headlights look a lot better than the current F20 1 Series ones, and we're really looking forward to seeing what BMW designers have in store for this department.

Since this car will actually be the Coupe version of the current F20 1 Series, we expect it to be slightly faster and more agile than the M135i. The new, lighter technologies used in its fabrication should make sure that this will be possible.

An official price tag and release date hasn't been announced yet, but judging by these pictures, expect it to show up in showrooms somewhere, early next year.
