The Brabus 850 Shooting Brake 6.0 Biturbo 4Matic has a lie in its name. Yes, it's a Brabus, yes it has 850 hp and yes it's still a CLS Shooting Brake, but the lie is the fact that it doesn't have a 6-liter engine, but only a 5.9-liter one.
Alright, leaving aside the only stupid joke we can make about this car, let's get to what's really important. Like the fact that the M157 V8 engine from the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake (the base car, ed) has been so thoroughly re-worked that it no longer delivers 557hp (or 585 hp in the S-Model) but a mouth-watering 850 hp.

The torque figure's increase is even more jaw-dropping, with the new engine producing 1450 Nm (1069 lb ft) of torque, which to us might seem just enough to reverse the Earth rotation. Since Bottrop engineers don't want the sun to rise from the West instead of the East – and also to protect the car's drivetrain – the ginormous torque has been electronically-limited to a “puny” 1150 Nm (848 lb ft).

With the help of the 4Matic all-wheel drive system, the two-ton CLS Shooting Brake can now reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a stand still in a neck-breaking 3.1-seconds. That's pretty much Porsche 911 Turbo S/Nissan GT-R territory.

The car's top speed hasn't been tested yet, but, considering it has some aerodynamic enhancements taken straight from the 370+ km/h (230+ mph) Brabus Rocket 800, you can pretty much guess the result. Color us excited.
