One day, the Brabus expertise will extend over the Mercedes-Benz trucks as well, but until then, the very limits of the German carmaker's range are its vans.
Well, calling the V-Class a van is a little far-fetched, as the new people carrier from Mercedes-Benz offers the kind of luxury amenities in its standard form that would make an older limousine shy away. Given the Brabus treatment, however, it quickly becomes a posh lounge worthy of someone who's just stepped down from his private jet.
And he won't feel much of a difference once he steps into the Brabus Business, as the tuned V-Class is called. The atmosphere is kept at similarly high levels while ride comfort is akin to that of a plane flying through clear skies, apart from the noise which is considerably lower.
It's got room for four in the back while one less fortunate (or more prone to motion sickness) individual can ride in front, alongside the driver. The Brabus V-Class comes with leather seats and Alcantara headlining, while entertainment is provided by a drop-down screen visible for the passengers facing forward.
The Brabus-tuned Sprinter, however, takes things to a whole new level. If the V-Class was a mobile lounge, the Sprinter is a concert hall, movie theatre, massage parlor, a gourmet bar, and a lot of other things into one impressive vehicle.
Frankly, it would be hard to imagine a situation where the Brabus Business Lounge would actually be needed, but it's ridiculously easy to think of moments when you'd like to travel inside it just for the sake of it. I mean, there's even an espresso machine, for heaven's sake.
It's nice to see Brabus taking a break from squeezing ridiculous amounts of power from those poor Mercedes-AMG engines and doing something ridiculous in a completely new way. Not that it should come as a suprise considering how exquisite their interiors have always been.
Buying such a car van doesn't make that much sense, but it does give you the opportunity to randomly answer questions you don't want to answer with "It's Brabus Business", which is funny. Not funny enough for the humongous price tag these things come with, though.
