Brabus is known for its hyperpowered Mercedes tuning programs, but the tuner is now using a different approach, introducing a kit for the A220 CDI.
The diesel hatchback receives Brabus’ ECO PowerXtra D3 kit, which takes the 2.2-liter oil burner from 170 hp and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) to 210 hp and 410 Nm (302 lb-ft). The new specs allow the vehicle to play the 0 to 62 mph game in 7.9 seconds and offer a top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h). The unit also receives a sports exhaust system that uses quadruple tailpipes.
As for the road connection, this is now established via sport springs and custom wheels that come in a size of 18 or 19 inches. In addition, the Brabus Mercedes A220 CDI can also offer a mild aerodynamic package consisting of a front fascia add-on element, a diffuser, as well as a rather bold rear wing.
Climbing abroad, we only find a few Brabus touches, such as aluminum pedals, door pins and door entry sills.
