Using an old fashioned Mercedes G Klasse, the engineers over at Brabus took a V12 bi-turbo powerplant, currently used on the S600, and increased its capacity from 5.5 to 6.3l. The modified engine puts out 700 horsepower an 1,320 Nm of torque. The oversized V12, combined with the five-speed automatic transmission and permanent four wheel drive boosts the car from naught to 62 miles per hour in just 4.3 seconds and keeps on accelerating until it reaches its electronically limited speed of 150 mph (240 km/hour).
And that is not all. Since speed and horsepower are not everything that define a car, BRABUS equipped the G V12 S Biturbo with custom suspension and BRABUS high-performance brake system. Purpose built for off-roading, the Biturbo also has in mind all of you who just can't do without technology. The car can be fitted, on demand, with DVD changer, DVBT TV tuner, game console and eight-inch LCD screens in the back of the front headrests.
And it looks good, too. A lot better then the models presented by the aforementioned tuners. Its unicolor body screams off-roader while the monoblock light-alloy wheels with diameters between 20 and 22 inches, mounted with high-performance tires from Pirelli or Yokohama are both decent and in tone with the car.
Brabus could have chosen however another design style for the LED daytime running lamps. Being as they are, straight and positioned beneath the headlight, make it look when seen from the front like a child who has done something wrong and now is asking for forgiveness.
Nevertheless, it is a must have for both Brabus and off-roading enthusiasts. The condition required for you to buy the Biturbo is to be GM's or Chrysler's CEO. We don't see how else you can afford to pay 379,000 euro for it. And keep in mind, this is the price for the butt naked car. No DVD, no console...
