When we tested the S500 Coupe a few months ago, we realized it's a true luxury car, something out of the ordinary. It also cost a small fortune, but this Brabus 850 tuning project is about twice more expensive.
The German tuners recently shared photos of their latest project car, which combines three colors perfectly: the silver of the paint, the black of the carbon fiber and the red of the interior.
The paint is not special. You could even call it discrete, but by using lots of carbon fiber, Brabus achieved a two-tone effect, a bit like adding racing stripes.
The styling kit brings a front spoiler that's larger and more imposing while replacing the Mercedes grille with a Brabus one. Down the side, we notice discrete blades inserts for the skirts, plus carbon mirror caps. Finally, they included a set of rear air ducts, a diffuser and some rather large exhaust pieces.
All this wouldn't be complete without lowering the suspension and adding gloss black Brabus Monoblock wheels with red pin-striping for the outer lips.
Torque is available in larger-than-life quantities With 1,450 Nm (1,069 lb-ft) between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm, you can probably participate in a tractor pulling event.
Part of the magic of the Brabus 850 is that they take out the 5.5-liter AMG engine and replace every part. The block now displaces closer to 6 liters (5,912cc to be precise) and is coated with carbon fiber and real gold.
Opulence I has it… for about €450,000 which is what this S-Class Coupe would cost.

We've saved the best until last: the engine
Straight-line performance is a Brabus specialty ever since the days of monstrous SL Roadsters. The 850 Coupe manages to reach 100 km/h in only 3.5 seconds while claiming a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).Torque is available in larger-than-life quantities With 1,450 Nm (1,069 lb-ft) between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm, you can probably participate in a tractor pulling event.
