Brabus could actually be the company with the highest number of debuts at the Frankfurt Motor Show though it's a close race with Mercedes-Benz. One of our favorites is the tuned version of the new AMG GT S.
The funny thing is that the top speed of this amazing custom sportscar is 325 km/h (201 mph), meaning that it's entering supercar territory. However, everybody is concerned with the Bentley Bentayga, an SUV that grabs headlines with its meager 187 mph (301 km/h). I know that comparing a sleek two-door against an SUV is unfair, but in my opinion Brabus>Bentley.
Brabus managed to squeeze out 600 horsepower from the 4-liter twin-turbo by using the PowerXtra B40-600 performance kit, a “plug-and-play” module. It provides a new treasure map that unlocks 90 hp of ... treasure... plus some torque.
There are a lot of Brabus cars with more power. However, you need to remember that the AMG GT is the most technologically advanced sportscar made by Mercedes. We'd love to see it go up against classics like the CLK or the Rocket 900 version of the S-Class.
Until the Germans indulge our drag racing fantasies, we'll have to be content with these glimpses of the 600 horsepower AMG GT from the Frankfurt Motor Show. An array of carbon fiber components has been added to let everybody know this is the new boss. They include a new front bumper spoiler and a big diffuser at the rear.
A new exhaust system will make every sportscar owner drool with envy when the 4-liter mill starts. It's also equipped with butterfly valves for the ultimate #nofilter experience. The AMG GT S rides on ultra-light Monoblock F forged wheels with diameters of 20 inches on the front and 21 at the rear.
My God, how the world has changed since the days of the Brabus Hammer!
The Brabus-tuned AMG GT is the sort of machine everybody should aspire to own. Not only is it one of the all-time most beautiful V8 machines, but the engine is a technological marvel.Brabus managed to squeeze out 600 horsepower from the 4-liter twin-turbo by using the PowerXtra B40-600 performance kit, a “plug-and-play” module.
