Haven Jarel is a 14-year-old boy who is credited to become the next big name in the custom motorcycle building scene. He has already won a very important third place in one of the most interesting custom bike competitions on the West Coast, the Deus Bike Build-Off.
Now, Haven's propension for motorcycles was not a thing that simply struck him out of thin air. His father Mark had a major role to play in his becoming. A skilled mechanic and custom enthusiast, Mark managed to instill the same passion for building vehicles in his son.

While Haven was only three, he wanted a motorcycle very much, but his father used to tell him that he was too young for it and was in no way ready to ride it, especially as he rode a bike that still had training wheels on.

According to his father, it only took Haven one day until he was able to ride the bicycle without the training wheels, so he got the pocket bike he had been promised.

This was only the beginning of a road that seems to go a really long way. As Haven grew his skills got only better and he started to think about actually customizing motorcycles. His first project was a 1970 Honda CL70 he equipped with a CL110 engine, and a complete frame and paint overhaul.

His Honda was immediately noticed at a "SundayMass" and the guys at Deus had a huge surprise to see he was only a teenager. Nevertheless they invited him to the next Bike Build-Off and he "stole" the third place.

Haven is also planning to build a sportscar using a Volkswagen chassis and an engine he has in his father's shop, so things are only starting to roll faster and faster.

What's your bet as far as what road will he choose? Jesse James, Roland Sands, or will he follow the path of European / Asian builders?
