In what could best be described as a classic case of entitlement, world middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders has come under fire for driving around in his Rolls-Royce while bribing drug addicts with drugs and money to assault passers-by.
Video of the incident is available at the bottom of the page, as was leaked to the British press. It shows the boxing champ at the wheel of his car, after driving around Nottinghamshire, talking to a woman who admits she could “use a lot of crack.” There are at least 2 other men in the car with him, and both are in on the joke.

Saunders begins by asking the woman if she would show him her breasts if he gave her the crack cocaine he had on him. Despite his claims, there is no evidence that he was actually carrying drugs in the car.

She also tells him her name and age, and when he offers her £150 worth of cocaine to assault a stranger, she does. She seems to believe him when she tells her that a man coming up on the sidewalk was a “pedophile,” so she simply walks over to him and slaps him in the face.

Then, laughing, Saunders starts his engine and drives off. Needless to point out, but he never had any intention of paying the woman anything, since all he wanted was to have some fun at her expense – and that of the poor guy who got slapped.

Nottinghamshire Police has released a statement to say they’re investigating the incident. Meanwhile, Sanders is scheduled for a disciplinary hearing with the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBC).

Officers will be looking to identify and speak to all of those who feature in this sickening video, and a full investigation will be carried out into the number of offenses that have been captured on film, including the offer to supply Class A drugs, aiding and abetting an assault, assault and public order offenses,” a spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police says in a statement.

Saunders has taken to his Twitter to apologize for the incident, calling it nothing short of harmless banter. Not even his followers agree.
