BOTT XC1 Cafe Racer Rendering Shows Plenty of Might

At the end of January we brought you the first digital sketches of Bottpower’s future XC1 cafe racer, a machine derived from the completely evil XR1, itself a reinterpretation of the mighty Buell XB. The Spaniards have not been idling all this time and the first rendered images of the completed bike have surfaced.

We knew that the XC1 was to become a menacing café racer, with rather little amounts of retro nostalgia, and the way this project develops confirms the initial presumptions. The Buell perimeter brakes and belt drive are gone, replaced with dual massive rotors and radial Brembo brakes, for impeccable stopping power.

The nosy air intake protrudes from the bike on the right side: it looks utterly cool, but there will be no riding in the rain with this bike. As the swingarm was manufactured in-house and engineered for a somewhat traditional single rear shock, its trellis design adds massive racing character, pretty much like the Pierobon frames do.

The fuel tank is a Moto Guzzi reminiscent and in a very good way, while the café racer DNA is only showed by the solo seat with the classic hump and the low-swung clip-ons. So far, the Bottpower Bott XC1 Café Racer looks smashing, but I really hope the headlight does not remain the same. Truth be told, this fugly headlight has no business with this smooth and tidy machine. The generic idea is not bad, but the current design state makes it look like (insert your favorite 4-letter word).
