When talking about the first generation Mustang, it’s hard not to mention the Boss 302. Compared to the normal ‘Stang, the Boss 302 was put into production because Ford was going stock-car racing and there was a lot of demand for a high performance pony.
Although it was produced in limited numbers from 1969 to 1970, its looks and 302 cu.in. (4.9-liter) V8 were what made it great and highly collectible. The design brainchild of Larry Shinoda, every Boss 302 Mustang is adorned with a number of special details.

The most important are a black c-stripe, a blackout hood, a rear deck wing and the black horizontal rear window shade that made its rear look so enticing.

This Medium Blue Metallic (Ford #3319-A) Boss 302 Mustang from 1970 is further beautified by a pair of hockey stick stripes, as well as the desirable front grille with two vents outside every headlight cluster

Only 7,013 examples of the 1970 Boss 302 Mustang were ever made, holding a suggested retail price of $3,720 back in the same year that saw the Apollo 13 spacecraft splashdown safely in the Pacific Ocean.

Chassis 0F02G170318 shows only 57,434 miles on the odometer and still sports its factory steelies and caps. Moreover, seller Brighton Motorsports claims that this 1970 Boss 302 Mustang boasts with a fresh valve job, camshaft, lifters, timing chain and gears for its four-speed stick shift gearbox.

Currently on sale on eBay, this pristine machine has amassed 51 bids at the time of writing, with the highest clocking $52,200. That’s not a lot for one of the most desirable Mustangs ever made.

With just an hour and 10 minutes to go until bidding ends, you’d better be quick about it...
