The company they will be collaborating with, currently makes electric motors for ‘Poltm’-branded scooters - last year, they sold some 1-million of them. However, Bosch’s effort will not be aimed only at the Chinese market, as the world market for electric scooters is already a huge one, and it will only increase in coming years. In 2011, some 27-million electric scooters were sold worldwide, 98% of which were made in China.

With an expected rise to 46-million units per year by 2020, Bosch is clearly thinking ahead as they definitely plant to be one of the major player in the industry, in coming years.
