When Dodge introduced the Hellcat twins, it was hard to imagine a muscle car and a four-door sedan with seating for five with 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque. But whereas power is sufficiently adequate, the factory exhaust system connected to the 6.2L V8 left a few people cold. Be that as it may, Borla has a solution to owners not satisfied with the stock setup.
Available for the 2015 and 2016 model years of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, the exhaust systems in the following video are just what the doctor ordered. At the present moment, Borla Performance Industries has not one, not two, not three, but four solutions owners can choose from. On the one hand, there’s the Borla S-Type cat-back exhaust with valve simulators or active exhaust valves. On the other hand, the company offers the Atak cat-back exhaust with valve simulators or active exhaust valves. What’s more, the exhaust sound can get louder with high-performance long tube headers.

Regarding pricing, you’re looking at $1,506.99 for the cheapest aftermarket exhaust system from Borla Performance Industries. At the other end of the spectrum, $2,015.99 will do the trick for your Hellcat. The long tube headers, which are “legal only for racing vehicles which may never be used, or registered, or licensed for use upon a highway,” are priced at $1,477.99.

If you’re looking for a more progressive sound from the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat as far as intensity is concerned, the S-Type cat-back system is the one to go for. The Atak cat-back system, by comparison, has a richer, meatier, more in-your-face sound. Regardless of choice, all Borla-branded exhausts for the hellish Challenger use 3-inch pipes. Exhaust tips aren’t included, chiefly because the systems are designed to use the Hellcat's factory valance.

The long tube headers, however, consist of 1.75-inch diameter primary tubes and a 2.75-inch collector. Both the exhausts and the long tube headers are manufactured from T-304 stainless steel for durability. And just like any other product bestowed with Borla’s know-how, the exhaust systems and long tube headers are backed by an industry-leading million mile warranty.
