Boosted Challenger Scat Pack Drag Races Modded Jeep Trackhawk, America Wins

This is an awesome time to be a muscle car aficionado, with the genre also including a muscle SUV these days. Of course, we are referring to the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and its 707 ponies. Then again, the monstrous output of the GC doesn't mean all owner find the thing muscular enough. And when there's somebody who feels that such a Jeep could do with some extra grunt, we end up with a drag racing monster.

And we are now here to bright you just that, namely a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk that has been taken down the aftermarket route.

The four-wheel-drive toy was modded by a specialist called SM Racing and, once the work on the car was done, the crew behind it took the thing to the drag strip.

We're not sure what mods were installed on the Hellcat-ized Grand Cherokee, but we can tell you that the thing managed to deliver a 10.86-second quarter-mile. For the record, a stock incarnation of the super-SUV needs 11.6 seconds to complete this task.

However, the Jeep met quite an opponent, one that can be considered a sibling. We're referring to a Dodge Challenger Scat Pack that has long left its factory setup behind.

The 6.4-liter V8 of the full-size coupe has been gifted with a supercharger supplied by Whipple, with a custom cam being installed, along with ported heads and an E85 setup.

Of course, the newfound muscle has to be translated to the road, which is why the machine received a 15-inch conversion, while getting skinny front tires, with Hoosier slicks at all four corners.

Make sure to turn up the volume before heading over to the "play" button, since this race brings a decibel storm. As for the winner of the race's aural side, we'll let you be the judge of this.
