For the third year in a row, January 2013 brings the Bonhams Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction, with more than 175 bikes going under the hammer and possibly more to follow until the auction date. The latest of the lot is an addition of no less than 15 bikes from the Lawrence E. Lattin Collection.
Those interested in the auction will get the chance to bid on AJS, Ariel, BSA, Douglas, Harley-Davidson, Indian, Norton and Triumph bikes which have on only been owned by Lattin, but also cared for and ridden by him.
In fact, this aspect seems more important than the historical value of these bikes: far from being just nifty collectibles which can be also ridden, the 15 machines represent a spectacular part of Lawrence Eugene Lattin himself, and have brought him a lifetime of happiness.
Together with the Lattin Collection bikes, Bonhams will offer the chance to bid for exclusively rare, old or valuable bikes, some of them being true pieces of motorcycling history.
