BMW Z4 Zagato Roadster at Pebble Beach

Among the most exciting concept car at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance was the new fruit of the partnership between BMW and coachbuilder Zagato, the Z4 Roadster. It’s a convertible version of the coupe shown in Italy at the Concorso d’Elleganza Villa d’Este earlier this year.
Unlike the production BMW Z4, which uses a folding metal roof, this one-off has a fabric roof. We’re still waiting for the two companies to announce production and pricing, but for now, enjoy this live video shot in California by Brian Zuk.

"Our success in finishing the car in such a short space of time shows what is possible when two successful companies pool their resources," says Andrea Zagato.

"BMW is a high-achieving carmaker boasting a vast well of knowledge and technical capability in this area. When you combine that with our expertise in the creation of micro-series, everything is in place to produce a beautiful model like the BMW Zagato Roadster in double-quick time.”

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
