When BMW launched the X6, it invented a new “segment” for the vehicle, calling it a SAC (Sports Activity Coupe). The X6 only uses a coupe-inspired line, but it comes with four doors. A two door X6 would have covered a far to small niche on the market, with the decision to build such a car being an absurdity.
However, it seems that the Armortech tuner coming from Russia has a totally different point of view, as the company has decided to create an X6 that can truly be called a coupe.
Here’s how the X6 became a two door vehicle: the car’s B-pillars were pushed backwards, its front doors gained 9.8 inches (250 mm) in length and the rear windows were brought forward 7.9 inches (200 mm).
As with every two door, four-seater, the car now uses front seats that tilt and slide forward to allow the rear passenger to enter/exit.
And the tuner didn’t stop here. It also developed a tech modification kit for the X6, with the package including engine modifications that offer a power premium, a modified suspension that gives the SAC an enhanced handling, as well as a beefier braking system that brings additional stopping power.
The car has also received an exterior/interior treatment. The X6 can ride on generously sized lightweight alloy rims and wear a complete body kit that bring an aggressive appearance. The interior of the vehicle can be fitted with a custom trim, leather/Alcantara finish and a sport steering wheel.
Our say: If you really want such a vehicle, you should also check out Merdad's Porsche Cayenne Coupe.
