We’re pretty sure that BMW and the creators of the off-roading monster you see in the adjacent images have pretty different things in their minds when they hear the “X6” designation.
We all know what the Bavarians are thinking, so let’s see what’s up with the other side. All German Motorsports sits behind the X6 Trophy Truck you see here.
This desert-devouring machine uses BMW's kidney grille and... that's about it - the rest is custom. Oh wait, the engine uses the V8 4.4-liter block from the X6 M.
The truck uses a custom chassis, Fox suspension (it offers 25 inches of suspension travel at the front and 32 inches at the back), and a X6-inspired fiberglass body.
The X6 Trophy truck will make its racing debut at next month's Baja 1000, where it will be manhandled by Armin Schwarz.
