BMW X5 xDrive50i Sounds Amazing with AC Schnitzer’s New Exhaust

AC Schnitzer was amongst the first tuners to bring out a kit for the F15 X5 and now they’re back showing us another side of their tuning business, the one that takes care of how the car sounds, not how it looks. In this regard they just posted a video on Youtube.

It shows us just how good BMWs can sound, even today. While most people hurried to dismiss the tune of the new, turbocharged plants from Bavaria, others paid closer attention and wanted to see what can be done.

We admit that the M5 doesn’t sound as good or enthralling as it should in stock guise but that should automatically translate into claiming that the M spirit is dead.

Taking things a bit further, we could even go as far as to say that if you do the right things to it, an N63 plant can sound just as good as its M-tuned brother, the S63. After all, they both are 4.4-liter twin-turbo mills.

That’s what AC Schnitzer managed here, creating a new exhaust system that sounds utterly fantastic. Of course, the sound of a car will always be a subjective matter but for those like me that appreciate a deep growl in a car, this is exactly how everything should sound like.

The guys used a BMW xDrive50i X5 for their testing purposes and, while we’re waiting for the new X5 M model to come out (rumored to make its world debut in LA in November), this is the next best thing in terms of aural experience. Check it out!
