BMW X5 M, X6 M Site Source Code Hints at 550 HP

BMW X6 M could get an engine that develops 550 horsepower and even more, could feature "Twin Scroll Twin Turbo" system. The news does not come over official channels, nor as a result of intense spying activities. The information is out for everyone to see by accessing X6's homepage, according to jalopnik.com.

By using the Page Source option found on the View tab of your browser, the source code behind the official site of the car will unveil some spectacular specs. By doing just that, the aforementioned source managed to give us a taste of the X6 M. Below you can see what the source code hides.

"Crafted at M, SAV, SAC, Sports Activity Vehicle, Sports Activity Coupe, E70 M, E71 M, X5M, X5 M, X6M, X6 M, M GmbH, BMW M, discussion, behind the scenes, news, spyshots, spyshot, prototype, disguise, disguised, testing, Nordschleife, Nürburgring, report, blog entry, image material, press, press release, eight-cylinder engine, V8, Twin Scroll Twin Turbo, 550 bhp, performance, motorsport, sport, dynamics, xDrive, X-Drive, all-wheel, Adaptive Drive, HUD, Head Up Display, dynamic, sophisticated, feedback, gills, lightweight, spaciousness"

In essence, it seems that a minor slip-up (or is it?) of BMW's web designers could offer the first insights into the mechanics behind the X5 M and X6 M. Loosely translated, the text above hints that the cars will be powered by V8 engines with Twin Scroll Twin Turbo system, which will allow it to develop 550 horsepower. One can also see some other features of the two, such as the Adaptive Drive or Head Up Display.

Fishing for information about the new additions of the BMW range will continue next month. In thirty days time, BMW will reveal full specifications of the two vehicles, but something tells us new insights into the vehicles will surface even sooner.
