You can’t surf the web without hearing about the weirdness of Japanese commercials. These guys surely know how to make things awkward. Even so much as a candle ad might set some unexpected things in motion so when I heard that they recently posted a BMW X5 commercial on Youtube I immediately jumped to conclusions.
Of course, I was proved wrong, the whole thing turning out to be quite decent in the end. The video shows the car roaming various streets (that by the way seem to be located in the US, not Japan) and getting the respect it demands, proving, once again that “the boss is back”.
Apart from a gang of bikers that stop at a crossroad to allow the Bimmer to pass, a freight train also brakes at the limit of the laws of physics to make sure it doesn’t upset the SAV. Unfortunately, I don’t speak any Japanese so if there’s anyone out there that could help with a translation, it would be greatly appreciated.
