There is a vast number of tuners out there today that claim to be making quality products, but that doesn’t mean they are actually doing it. As a matter of fact, more often than not they end up completely ruining the cars as they were intended to be when built by the automakers.
One such example comes from the guys over at A.R.T. Germany. They created a BMW X5 that, simply put, looks like it was glued together, using parts from other industries, not just other cars.
To be more precise, the whole thing sounds like it was put together with the help of some lawn furniture such as chairs or some plastic tables and it’s pretty obvious that it doesn’t appeal to everyone. I’m pretty sure that some will find it interesting but to us, it doesn’t work. At all!
Up front, there’s a heavy reinterpretation of the original fascia. The bumper was changed completely and now features huge LED spotlights on its lower end that look like miniature headlights from where we’re sitting. The kidney grilles were exchanged as well with a white pair that has a different shape too.
Other modifications include a wider set of front wings, new bonnet with a power dome and wider hips at the back. Since we reached the rear end, we should mention the new bumper with a fresh center diffuser in the middle along with a rather big spoiler for the roof that just ruins everything. The wheels are the only thing we like on this... Frankenstein creation, having a stylish look and being finished in gunmetal grey or even black.
